Folkware mugs are a simple and straightforward form that just feels right in the hand. The large roomy handles are pulled directly from the body of the mug and adhered to the bottom with a firm push from my fingers. The glazing style is a single color brushed glaze- the natural variance in how loaded the brush is with color variates the surface. Over this the mug is dipped in a matte white, which allows the color to bleed through in the firing process. The insides of the mugs are glazed white.
