This season I am sharing my love of plants and the cheer of winter flowers with you! I’ve created large planters specifically for the Amaryllis flower. Amaryllis are great for budding plant people and experienced plant parents alike. They are a low maintenance plant which requires good sunlight to begin growth, a warm area and little water.
The pot is thrown from 7 pounds of clay to ensure that it will have the heft to stabilize the large heads of flowers which will shoot up. I wanted to design pots deserving of such a regal festive flower, and bring color into the cold months ahead.
-Large planter is about 9.5”h x 8” w.
-Body is wheel thrown with a corded band at the 1/3 mark, and hand sculpted floral medallion on the front, which is hand painted. Goldfinch inspired birds flit from the branches amongst peach hued butterflies. The piece is dipped inside and outside in a white gloss glaze. Has a drainage hole and water dish.

Three Amaryllis varieties to choose from. (limited quantaties). These are larger bulbs which take a bit longer to mature (ballpark 8-12 weeks), but due to size will yield more and thus longer lasting flowers.
Quantities for each amaryllis variety are limited- please leave note with your preferred bulb at check out and I will contact you prior to making substitutions if necessary.

When the amaryllis bulb blooms are spent- keep the plant as an interesting green foliage, and wait as it stores it’s energy for another show of blooms next year.
