This vase takes advantage of glazes which run- flooding the carved orange botanical accents and running down the piece, there is a delightful marriage of movement from a molten glaze frozen in time, and bright pops of color. The dusty rose body paired with the umber rings adds a vintage feeling. This vase was exciting for me to pull from the kiln, and I will be playing with this design more!
Vase is wheel thrown in parts and assembled from porcelain. The orange design is carved. Glaze is applied by painting and dipping.
