Depicts two nuthatches greeting each other. A somewhat common bird in our yard, I marvel at their acrobatics, flitting right side up to pecking at the underside of a branch in a blink's eye.
This piece was created from a wheel thrown body with added sculptural elements. Color is layered throughout the making process at every stage in order to achieve a lively depth in the surface.
Gold luster accented.
Blushed blue on the inside.
Hand wash only. Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.
