I have selected a few paintings from 2025 to offer as prints. These will be printed to order.
They are printed on an archival matte fine art paper. They are offered in two sizes, note that the larger 18" x 14" size is closest to the original size. They appear nicely in the slightly smaller 11" x14" print size as well, and this is the size which is pictured in the frames. Please refer to the second picture for the most accurate rendering of the print, and make sure the brightness on your monitor is turned all the way up for the most accurate representation of the print you will receive.
Frames are a natural wood toned.
11" x 14" prints are 16" x 19" including the frame.
14" x 18" prints are 19" x 23" including the frame.
They are backed with kraft paper and ready to hang (with a sawtooth hanger installed on the frame).
Please choose if you would like the acrylic glass over top- I enjoy the natural texture of the piece without the glare from the glass, but a glass will cover and protect the piece. There is no upcharge to include the glass.
To preserve your print, please keep away from direct sunlight.
About this Series:
The paintings were made with gouche paint. They are color studies, the hue anchoring the piece in conversation between lively flighty birds, and stable pots inspired by my pinching. Each of these birds called North America their home. Each has passed on. Extinct. We can imagine their joy in life. On the edge of extinction are so many species with our current climate crises. The tsunami of information and sheer direness of life in the digital age makes it all seem truly insurmountable. But the cost is here, and it will be born of all of us, and future generations. I have recently found that my city of Saint Charles is negotiating to continue using coal as our main source of energy. I hope that the citizens of my community will stand to say no to this archaic and out dated energy source, and that we may each make our voices heard when we can, and effect change through our actions. Even bringing our own bags, not using straws, choosing to eat more plants- the effect is small, but the action is also saying, no, this is wrong. And I think putting ourselves in that head space is important even if it can feel fruitless.
Ivory Billed Woodpecker- Extinct 1987 * with the note that there have been unverified supposed sightings. It's nice to think that they might be out there still, soaring in the swampy forests of Arkansas.
