The botanical series is inspired by bounty, fruitfulness (literally) and a love of vintage botanical watercolor studies. I enjoy how these depictions of plants historically served an educational purpose, thus depicted a plant often with fruit and flowers in a naturalistic way, even though the species not actually show the flower and fruit stage in the same season.
These wheel thrown pieces are hand carved, filled with a contrasting glaze, and finished with brightly painted accents before a final dip in a warm ocher glaze.

about 7"h x 3.25" w
Dimpled thumb print on one side
I offer these at a slight discount as they were initially meant to be oil cruets, but they are lovely accent pieces, just that the opening does not fit my oil tops. These are food safe, and could alternatively be corked (not sold with cork).
