Having seen loons from far off, I recognized their elegant form- but taking the time to paint them I noticed so many subtle colors in their plumage- I had no I idea they had traces of teal in their neck until I set about painting them. This mug shows two adult loons and a couple 'loonlet' chicks, frolicking. I hope this mug does these beautiful birds justice!
This piece was created from a wheel thrown body, finished with hand painting, sculpted and carved accents. Color is layered throughout the making process at every stage in order to achieve a lively depth in the surface.
Gold luster accented.
Blushed green on the inside.
Hand wash only. Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.
Measure about 4.25” high by 4.47” wide with handle.
