Mug depicts three Carolina Parakeets- North America’s only native parakeet which became extinct in 1939. I hope that this mug recalls great joyful noisy flocks perched among such familiar trees such as our beloved oaks.
This piece was created from a wheel thrown body with added sculptural elements. Color is layered throughout the making process at every stage in order to achieve a lively depth in the surface.
Gold luster accented.
Blushed Blue on the inside.
Hand wash only. Not suitable for microwave or dishwasher.
