A striking tall profile designed to splay long stemmed florals.
This piece is wheel thrown in two parts assembled, and followed by the tulip assemblage. The inside of the piece is glazed with a light blue gloss, the outside is brushed matte cobalt.
Brushed Matte Cobalt - This glaze work softly reflects a cooler light. The color variance is achieved by painting a layer of cobalt glaze over the piece to fully coat, then wiping it away, resulting in a deeper blue in the carved areas. The piece is then dipped in a matte white which softens the color. This glaze technique takes longer to achieve thus is reflected in the price.
